Whenever a beloved book is adapted to a movie, there is always a torn feeling of how should I accept this kind of news. I am an avid reader of James Patterson novels. For me, he is one of the best thriller writers in the block and statistically he has the most number of bestsellers in his genre. But I am ashamed to be caught off-guard that his sixteenth Alex Cross novel is being adapted into a movie, without me knowing it.
Not only that, I was only able to know that it is on the works when I saw some pictures from the movie that was just released recently. Directed by veteran director Rob Cohen, the movie pits Alex Cross into another mystery when he was told a family member was murdered and what he thought as a simple murder turned out be be more complex as it seems.
Check out the photos here:
Starring Tyler Perry as the renowned Dr. Alex Cross, together with Matthew Fox and Rachel Nichols, the movie is expected to be released not later that the last quarter of the year. This is the third Alex Cross movie that has been made so far and each of them has varying Alex Cross actors. I don't really mind as long as Tyler Perry knocks the character to the detail. So far, he looks "detective"-ish in the last photo and that's good enough for me.
