Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber And Carly Rae Jepsen Dominate 2012 MTV European Music Awards

Many stars packed up in Frankfurt, Germany to join the recently concluded 2012 MTV European Music Awards hosted by German celebrity Heidi Klum.  Despite the great number, only a select few were able to snag the coveted music awards and they were mostly Americans.

Both on rank #1, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber went home with three awards each. They were followed by breakout artist Carly Rae Jepsen and Europe's very own One Direction with two awards each. The runners-up, having secured one award each, are PSY, David Guetta, Lanna Del Rey, Nick Minaj, Han Geng and even the late Whitney Houston.

Taylor Swift came out with her Red looks, showing off her haul:

Rihanna might have received a total of 8 nominations, compared with Taylor Swift's and Katty Perri's five, but her star wasn't shining bright during the awards night since she got home with nil. It's fair to say that Europe's favorites greatly reflect America's taste as well. The names listed are mostly still the same.
