The last time we check, we were able to snag a few set pictures for Game of Thrones Season 3, featuring the intricate set designs of Riverrun. Now that there's only less than five months left before we could finally shout the "Winter is Coming!" House Stark motto once again, HBO released a teaser poster for the upcoming season without much noise and flare.
Using a bare metallic effect for background, the poster showcases an embossed broadcast date of the first episode of the season. Nothing much to tell really, except that the first season's Eddard Stark on the Iron Throne and the second season's thorny Golden Crown have been temporarily replaced by three unceremonious swords. What or who could be in the center stage in this season's official poster?
Updated: Here is the video version of the teaser:

Ohhh, Khaleesi!
Game of Thrones Season 3 will cover the first half of A Storm of Swords, the third book in George R. R. Martin's acclaimed Song of Ice and Fire. Much like the previous seasons, Season 3 will have 10 episodes apiece. The first few parts of A Storm of Swords have already been showcased in the finale of the second season, giving a much understandable connectivity to the story.
The surviving major cast will all return, but I am not gonna tell who's gonna live longer and who's not. George R. R. Martin is known to love killing everyone's adored characters, so don't expect an exception on your own favorite. Many a new character will be added into this season and here's only a few of them:
The season will premiere on 31 March, 2013
