On Jennifer Nielsen's latest blog post, my favorite author of the moment has revealed that she'll be writing a new series should she finish with The Ascendance Trilogy. That means we still have a long way to wait since the third and final book in The Ascendance is not even named yet. Nielsen teases us that it shall be announced soon.
Here is the author's official statement regarding the new series, as revealed in the FAQ-esque post on her blog:
"The new series is called THE PRAETOR WAR, and it’s a magical alternate history of ancient Rome where an escaped slave becomes caught up in a plot to overthrow the empire. Sounds uneventful, I know, but I’ll throw in some gladiator battles, chariot races, and treks through the sewers to spice things up."
On a different yet related note, Jennifer Nielsen has revealed that the title and cover for the sixth Infinity Rings book, which she has written, is not yet final but will be announced very soon. Infinity Rings is a multi-platform series (accompanied by an online game) written collectively by different authors.
So far, only three books in the Infinity Rings series have been released and the fourth one entitled Curse of the Ancients and written by Matt de la Peña will be published on July 4, 2013. Then it will be followed by Cave of Wonders penned by Matthew J. Kirby.
You can know more about Jennifer Nielsen and her great books on her official website.
