It's Official! Glee Moves Forward With Fifth And Sixth Season

After treading the waters for the fourth season and proving that the experimental season really worked well for the fans, Fox has announced that the show has renewed for not only one but two seasons more.

The fifth and sixth season have been made official by the following statement from Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Fox entertainment:

Glee debuted as the first and only successful musical comedy series on television, and more than four years later, it continues to defy genres, break new ground and have a significant impact on popular culture,” Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly said in a statement announcing the news. “Week in and week out, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Dante DiLoreto and the entire Glee team deliver a series that not only delights and surprises fans, but also inspires them to talk about, share, debate and engage with the show — and I’m absolutely thrilled to have them on board for another two seasons.

The finale of the fourth may as well focus on the regionals as a reiteration of the first season. Only we are not sure if New Direction will win on the event, leaving a possibility of the fifth season focusing on the Nationals, or they're going to lose, putting them back to ground zero and with the old senior cast leaving William McKinley High School after graduation.

This is quite the tricky part, since I personally thought that the fourth season is simply a bridge for the next season to introduce new cast while not really letting go of the pioneer regulars.

What do you think?
