I am not much of a horror movie fan, but once in a while I do watch one when my testosterone level is at peak level. But kidding aside, I don't like these kind of movies especially those with surprise tactic that sets the background music to high volume just to scare the audience. What I like are those truly scary movies in the psychological and thrilling plain... and Dark Touch is maybe one of those, I hope.
Well, that is as far as the trailer suggests, inflicting the story with an interval of back stories what made the creepy and soft voice of the mother in the trailer even more twisted and scary. I don't wanna rely much on trailers, because lately the trailers are awesome, but the actual movies are pure shit.
Watch the new trailer of Dark Touch.
Synopsis
In a remote town in Ireland, eleven-year-old Neve finds herself the sole survivor of a bloody massacre that killed her parents and younger brother. Suspecting a gang of homicidal vandals, the police ignore Neve's explanation that the house is the culprit. To help ease her trauma, dutiful neighbors Nat and Lucas take her in with the supervision of a social worker. Neve has trouble finding peace with the wholesome and nurturing couple, and horrific danger continues to manifest. Haunted objects, an eerie score and a moody, oneiric look complement this intense and frightening peek into child abuse and the searing imagination of writer/director Marina de Van.
Dark Touch premiered last April 18, 2013.
