Official Runner, Runner Theatrical Trailer Forces Geeky Justin Timberlake To Risk It All

Justin Timberlake is a hell of a talented guy. He rested for quite sometime on his music to pursue his acting career -- and who could say he didn't have the chops just to do so? We've seen him stir up some controversy in The Social Network, cook up some steamy scenes in Friends With Benefits, and voiced a character in a 3d movie. What more could you ask for? Of course a new movie where he is one of the stars and has something to do with gambling.

Runner, Runner is a movie directed by Brad Furman and brings together Ben Affleck, Justin Timberlake and Gemma Arterton in this drama thriller that brings a new perspective on the game of chance. Leonardo DiCaprio and colleagues are the producers, with Brian Koppelman and David Levien as screenwriters.

Synopsis

Princeton grad student Richie (Justin Timberlake), believing he's been swindled, travels to Costa Rica to confront online gambling tycoon Ivan Block (Ben Affleck). Richie is seduced by Block's promise of immense wealth, until he learns the disturbing truth about his benefactor. When the FBI tries to coerce Richie to help bring down Block, Richie faces his biggest gamble ever: attempting to outmaneuver the two forces closing in on him.

Runner, Runner will hit cinemas on September 27, 2013.
