Grammarians might scorn the diction of how Katy Perry pronounces the word Unconditionally, but the song is by far the best one in her latest album, Prism. By accepting the flaws and strength of your lover, only then can you love truly and deeply.
To add up to the beauty of the song Katy Perry has released a very cinematic music video, the likes of which we have seen in the ball scene in Joe Wright's Anna Karenina movie. Or is the movie really the inspiration for this video, considering the central theme of the movie has something to do with unconditional (or not) love as well?

Unconditionally is the second single to be released (in mid-October) from Katy Perry's Prism. Being the fifth track from the said album, the song was written by the singer, together with Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald, Max Martin, and Henry "Cirkut" Walter, and was produced by Gottwald, Martin, and Walter.
Despite some similarities with Anna Karenina, the video was in fact inspired by the 1988 film Dangerous Liaisons. It was filmed in Lodon way back in October and was directed by Aya Tanimura. The lyric video, on the other hand, showcases glimpses of the unconditional same-sex love, and you might find actress Janell Shirtcliff and androgynous model Erika Linder in it. Did you happen to spot the little girl featured in Katy Perry's Wide Awake music video?
You can download the song in iTunes.
