Paul W.S. Anderson's Pompeii Fires Up With Second Trailer, Starring Kit Harington & Emily Browning

Historical and period movies are a hit now a days, next to movie adaptations and remakes. There is this sense of wonder of watching a movie about people on a different era, culture and civilization that makes these kind of movies a favorite among movie goers. And the upcoming movie entitled Pompeii surely put this things to mind.

Pompeii is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson based on the script written by Lee Batchler, Janet Scott Batchler, Michael Robert Johnson and Julian Fellowes. It stars Kit Harington (remember Jon Snow from Game of Thrones?), Emily Browning, Jared Harris, Kiefer Sutherland, Carrie-Anne Moss, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas.

Synopsis

The film follows an enslaved Celtic gladiator who falls in love with a noblewoman on the eve of a massive volcanic eruption that destroys Pompeii, an event that also brings him face-to-face with the man who slaughtered his family years earlier.

Pompeii will hit cinemas on February 21, 2014.
