The most unlikely pairing of authors Cassandra Clare and Holly Black has lead to the creation of the projected five-book series called Magisterium. The first book in the series called The Iron Trial is almost up fro grabs. And thanks to USA Today we have got the first glimpse of its official cover, topped with an exciting read of an excerpt.
Magisterium is so named after the "academy for those with a propensity toward magic." Clare says she had "a certain trepidation that I wouldn't be able to capture a middle-grade voice, since I've only written for older teens. Working with Holly helped iron that out because she's a middle-grade expert."
